The Baltic capitals Vilnius, Tallinn and Riga, sandy dunes of the Curonian spit and Jagala waterfall, Peipus lake and abandoned nuclear missile base – our All Baltics tours brings You to dozens of points of interest. We would like to, but we cannot include all of them!
Today’s post is about what You miss: The Church of John the Baptist in Zapiškis. This gothic gem was erected in the late 16th century on the bank of the Neman river.
It is really strange to see a church in the middle of a green field. Usually a church marks the center of a town, and is surrounded by houses, often adjacent to the market square.
This church once also stood on a street. But almost every spring the high water of Neman destroyed the buildings on the river bank. The last were demolished by ice and water during 1946 high water, and only the church survived. The town was rebuilt several hundred meters away from the river.
Today the church and plaza around it are used for concerts and cultural events.

The registration for 2025 All Baltics tour is closed. The tour will start on August 11. Follow us on facebook and join us in 2026!

Our All Baltics tour is unique presenting 3 different countries, 3 different languages and 3 different cultures in one travel. Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia are united by similar geographical position and common history, but they also have huge differences between each other.
But that’s not enough! If we look closer, the fourth country will appear: Germany!
Yes, historically the western part of Lithuania was a part of German world for centuries, since the Teutonic order, and later belonged to Germany – until the end of the WW2!
This part of Eastern Prussia was inhabited by German population in the towns, and by Lithuanians in the rural areas. The Lithuanian population were protestans, differently from Lithuania itself, where the majority are catholics. They spoke a dialect which used a lot of German words.
Eastern Prussia’s Germans and many local Lithuanians fled to Germany during the WW2, and the rest were expelled by Soviets.
But the traces of this centuries-long culture are still present.
One tour, three Baltic countries… and one more hidden. Let’s discover it!
We still have one last place on the All Baltic tour. Register now!

Let’s get acquainted: my name is Dimitri and I will be Your tour guide on our All Baltics tour in August.
I started leading the motorbike tours in 2011, and the first tour I have led was… All Baltics tour! Some adjustments were made since, but the main things remain the same: minimum motorways, maximum back roads, and sightseeing attractions you will never reach on a bus tour!
In the next 15 years I have led around 40 tours in the Baltic States, Israel, Italy, Germany, and the Nordic Countries.

– I never say “customers” about you guys. I always say “my guests”.

– Before going on the tour, many people ask, why they should ride a motorbike in the Baltic States. No one asks after the tour, why one should: after the tour it’s pretty obvious!

– My favorite mistake as a tour guide was bringing the group to the wrong hotel. I realized that we are in the wrong place before we ordered the second round of beers. It was still legal to go to the right place!

– Yes, it is a dream job.

Hello Mr. Postman!
One of the highlights of the All Baltic tour is the ride on the Postitee in Southern Estonia.
Postitee means “Post road” and it was built in 18 century to connect several towns in the area. After that, only minor changes of the original route were made, so Postitee saved its “3D” shape – left, right, up, down!
Now the route is claimed memorial and hosts Estonian road museum in the old post station building.
The highest hill of all Baltics Suur Munamägi (318 m a. s. l.) is also located nearby. Observation platform on the top of the hill offers a 50 km raduis view.
We are visiting Southern Estonia on the 7the day of our tour.
Two places are still available. Book the tour here!

Located on the Pärispea peninsula, it is the most Northern community in the Baltic States, 59o39’N.
First mentioned in 1372, for centuries it was a fishermen’s village, also famous for alcohol smuggle to Finland.
After Independence, the local boiler house was converted into theater, which hosts troupes and shows from Tallinn and abroad, bringing a trendy crowd on weekends to the village. We are welcome to the local restaurant deck overlooking the bay and island of Mohni on the 8th day of our tour.

This year Baltic Moto Tours made the first tour as a destination manager for an Indian motorbike touring agency Motorover. We welcomed a group of 17 persons, providing them with 12 motorbikes, support van and, most important, our knowledge about our core region. The tour started in Tallinn and went through Estonian city of Tartu to Riga, then to coast of the Baltic sea and Curonian spit, and finally, through the Valley of Castles to Kaunas and Vilnius in Lithuania. The group covered more than 1200 km in 6 days. We thank our guests for riding with us, and, specially, Piyush Sonsale from Motorover, for organization and bringing the guests! We wish You success and… see You next August!

On our classic All Baltic tour we welcomed Slovenia and Spain. Notably, Rado and Nika from Ljubljana came to Vilnius on their own bike, covering almost 2000 km to take part in the tour!
Started in Vilnius, the tour rolled through the road of Lithuania to the Baltic sea, to Latvia, and to Estonia, over the famous Post road and motobike paradise of the Lahemaa National Park near Tallinn. After 9 days and in 2900 km we came back to Vilnius.
Rado and Nico, thanks for incredible salami, Jesus, thanks for incredibles stories You told – and, thank You all for riding with Baltic Moto Tours!

With this tour we continue our motto to go off beaten tracks and discover. Ore Mountains is homeland of DKW, Wanderer, Horch and Audi, and definitely a land to ride! Winding roads, medieval castles, motorcycle and automobile museums, historical mines, cordial and hospitable people in small towns… not to forget about incredible local kitchen and beers!
