The Northern pole of the Baltics

One of the highlights of our All Baltics tour is a visit to the village of Viinistu in Estonia.
Located on the Pärispea peninsula, it is the most Northern community in the Baltic States, 59o39’N.
First mentioned in 1372, for centuries it was a fishermen’s village, also famous for alcohol smuggle to Finland.
After Independence, the local boiler house was converted into theater, which hosts troupes and shows from Tallinn and abroad, bringing a trendy crowd on weekends to the village. We are welcome to the local restaurant deck overlooking the bay and island of Mohni on the 8th day of our tour.
